Your Tasks

We are looking for a Vice President of Talent and Development to be part of the leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, implementing and optimizing a world class people strategy from workforce planning, competency management, talent acquisition and career management through to personnel and organisational development. Your primary objective will be to establish and manage high performing teams and initiatives across Europe with a focus on excellent productivity. You will also act as trusted advisor to the executive leadership team for all people initiatives. This includes the following responsibilities:

Improve foundation of Talent Management Performance:

  • Revise and improve approaches for strategic personnel planning,
  • Create a foundation that enables the company to assess skills gaps, critical talent & talent segmentation
  • Lead the transformation of our workforce in a rapidly changing environment
  • Drive performance rating and skills gap analysis processes in alignment with workforce planning

Improve Talent Acquisition:

  • Review and adapt sourcing strategies, tools and channels aligned with workforce planning results and business needs
  • Maintain standard of excellence related to pre-employment assessments process
  • Strategically work across the organization to drive growth by efficiently and effectively hiring top talent
  • Further implement a seamless and employee oriented onboarding approach on a global level by involving all relevant interfaces to engage and retain new employees

Personnel Development:

  • Plan, implement, constantly review and improve the training and personnel development strategy focused on increasing digitization and globalization
  • Strengthen the learning strategy and program management for all target groups in alignment with overall targets
  • Foster career planning and development initiatives and refine career paths an succession planning

Organisational Development and Culture:

  • Own the creation and reinforcement of an aligned company culture ensuring that people are hired, recognized and managed against the core cultural values of the organization
  • Develop and implement a unified, global change management approach

Improve Methods and Tools:

  • Inspire and steer the implementation of a holistic HR suite solution that will enable a great user experience, increase the efficiency of administration and will be perceived as a milestone in the digitalization of HR services offered to the organization in a user-oriented tool

Your Profile

  • Strong experience in Human Resources or Organizational Development within large industrial organisations
  • Broad perspectives on people and organisation with a strategical mind as well as a strong method and tool-knowledge
  • Business acumen and a strong understanding of the necessary balance between risk, employee engagement and financial goals
  • Sense of Urgency – operate at a high pace with a strong focus on results
  • Change Agent – drive change across the organization by enrolling others, making tough decisions, and driving to conclusion
  • People Developer – actively engage in constructive feedback, coaching and mentorship; focus on both short-term performance management and longer-term development opportunities with an emphasis on identifying and retaining top talent and quickly exiting underperforming talent
  • Accountability - do what you say you are going to do and hold others accountable as well
  • Growth Mindset – actively pursue new ways of getting things done
